Meet Alida Cappelletta, the driving force behind this bespoke jewellery and ceramics collection.
Alida prides herself on cultivating collections that are highly personalised, that speak to the individual and will be treasured and shared for many lifetimes.
Passionate about creating functional beauty to adorn the body, Alida considers individuals who desire uniqueness and thoughtful jewellery when creating a collection.
She has based her practice in Perth, Western Australia after studying and working as a Contemporary Jeweller in Sydney for fifteen years.
After graduating from Sydney College of the Arts in Jewellery and Metal, Alida also studied at RMIT in Gold and Silver Smithing. With a painting background major from Curtin University she has harmoniously fused her various technical skills and knowledge to create beautifully crafted designs.
Alida's obsession for handmade has filtered through to creating unique raw functional ceramics. Much delight is in discovering new ways to create forms with the subtle markings and essence of the maker that is a pleasure to hold and cherish.
Since 2004 Alida has taught Jewellery Making to adults at various community Arts Centres across Sydney and most recently in Perth.
Alida aims to nuture and support her students with the highest standard of technical skills in a creative group environment.
Her evolvement as a tutor and professional artist has endowed her with the confidence and patience to communicate her skills and passion for jewellery making.
In recent years Alida has hosted numerous hand-building pottery workshops in various Perth based creative studios.
